We have added a couple of ways for DSPS members to keep in touch. For more information about each of these options, click the link below
If you have suggestions for other ways DSPS members can keep in touch, please send a suggestion to Lt Mark Zeserson, S, or post it to the "Website Suggestions" forum on the DSPS Bulletin Board.
Each month, the Meridian, our award-winning monthly newsletter, is sent to each member household. This color newsletter keeps our members informed as to what is happening in and around the squadron. Registration forms for special event and cruises are also included, as well as many informative articles and photos.
You can now also download the Meridian online by visiting the Meridian section of this website. The download file is usually available earlier in the month than the printed copies, so if you are interested in getting the news fast, online delivery is the best way.
In an effort to foster new communication channels between DSPS members, we have activated a feature of our new Web Hosting service. We now have the ability to create and maintain email lists. An email list is a single address to which you can send an email, and have that message delivered to everyone on the list.
We have created the following email lists which we think will be of use to DSPS members. If you have any suggestions for new email lists, please let Lt Mark Galbraith, AP* know.
Notes:
We have also activated a bulletin board for DSPS members. The electronic bulletin board works the same way the thumbtack board at home works. You post a message to a section of the board. Other users can read your message, reply to it, or post one of their own.
Some forums are for "Announcements only." Only the forum moderators can post messages in these areas. These are mostly used to provide special information to the membership about the Forum operations. Most forums are open for posting by anyone, including guests. Some features and forums require you to register in order to post.
Registration is open to active DSPS members and their families. To register, simply click the "Register" link at the top of the main forum page. This option disappears once you are registered, so if you don't see that link, you are already registered and signed in.
To access the bulletin board, just go to http://www.diablosquadron.org/forum/. This is the top-level page for the Bulletin Board system.
Disclaimer: DSPS has no control of participants on the Bulletin Board. Participants are encourage to use good judgment while participating in the forums. Abuse of the Bulletin Board should be reported to Lt Mark Galbraith, AP* or one of the moderators within the forums.
